Enhance Your Natural Hormone Balance with Acupuncture

From your first period through to fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause and beyond, nurturing your hormone health is essential for your vitality in every stage of life.

At my Paradise Point clinic on the Gold Coast, I work with women experiencing a range of menstrual, hormonal and reproductive health concerns. Using acupuncture and Chinese medicine, I am here to support you and your specific health needs. No two women are the same and it is my job to get to know you and your body and your unique story.

My areas of clinical interest include period pain, PMS, irregular cycles, PCOS, endometriosis, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum care, peri-menopause and menopause.

How Acupuncture Can Support Women with Hormone Balance & Gynaecological disorders

If you have been diagnosed with a gynaecological disorder such as PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, peri-menopause or PMDD or suspect that you have a hormone imbalance, you may be interested in trying acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

Women’s Health Acupuncture has been traditionally used to:

  • Help regulate menstrual cycles and ease PMS symptoms

  • Support peri-menopause and menopause transitions

  • Reduce stress-related hormonal imbalances

  • Promote overall well-being and vitality

Women's health at different stages of life

Menstrual health - Your menstrual cycle can provide useful information about your overall health and well being. I work with women experiencing concerns such as painful periods, PMS, irregular cycles and other changes in their menstrual cycle.

PCOS - Living with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS, recently renamed PMOS) can feel frustrating and overwhelming. Irregular periods, weight changes, acne, unwanted hair growth, fertility challenges, and mood fluctuations can affect every aspect of your life.

Endometriosis - If you're living with endometriosis, you know that it is SO much more than just painful periods. Pelvic pain, fatigue, digestive symptoms, painful ovulation, fertility challenges, and the emotional toll of ongoing symptoms can impact your quality of life and leave you feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.

Peri-Menopause & Menopause - Perimenopause and menopause are natural stages of a woman's life, but the transition can involve a range of physical and emotional changes. Acupuncture is used within Chinese medicine as part of an individualised approach to health and wellbeing. Explore peri-menopause & menopause

Pre-conception & Fertility - Preparing your body for pregnancy is one of the most important steps you can take on your journey to motherhood. Many fertility specialists these days also refer to acupuncture to help improve IVF & IUI treatment outcomes.

What to Expect at Your Women’s Health Acupuncture Appointment

Your session is customised based on your symptoms, health history, and wellness goals. Acupuncture points are carefully selected to support hormonal balance and restore equilibrium.

I have a special interest in women’s health and hormone balance. Having been diagnosed with various hormone imbalances myself, I am empathetic and understanding of your unique hormone journey, providing expert care in a safe and judgement free environment.

Whether you're experiencing cycle irregularities, menopause symptoms, or hormonal shifts, I offer compassionate support to help you feel your best.

How Many Acupuncture Sessions Should I Have to help balance my hormones?

Studies suggest that acupuncture once or twice weekly is most effective, though here at Rachel Fitzpatrick Acupuncture, I also aim to be flexible with what works for you and your schedule.

We will cover all of this in your initial session and come up with the best plan moving forward for your individual goals. Treatment plans will vary from person to person.

When working with hormone imbalances or gynaecological disorders, I like to see you for at least 3 months so that I can get to know you, your body, your cycle and observe any changes with your symptoms and overall health in the time that we are working together.
