Hi, I’m rachel

I’m an AHPRA registered acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner with a passion for women’s health and fertility. I received my Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Chinese Medicine through Endeavour College of Natural Health on the Gold Coast and have been in private practice now for several years. I also have a background in Remedial Massage and still like to include this type of body work into my treatments. I am a proud member of ATMS.

I'm a Taurus, notoriously stubborn but loyal as they come. I love nature and everything outdoors but am not ashamed to say I also like the finer things in life and a little sprinkle of luxury.

I'm from everywhere, I have lived in cities, country towns, by the beach, in the mountains and even in the Middle East but now I live on the gorgeous Goldie with my partner in shine and many, many, many plant babies.

Before becoming an acupuncturist, I studied art. I'm not much of a painter but I really love sewing and working with wood and metal, so my art pieces were always a little eccentric! Like me I guess!

I have an eclectic music taste, spanning decades and ranging from blues to heavy metal and everything in between. My prized possessions are my vinyl record collection and my vintage phonograph.

I'm a water baby! I can't be far from the ocean but I'm partial to some rainforest immersion therapy too from time to time; but mostly you’ll find me sporting sandy toes and salty hair.

I am a born healer - When I was a child, I wanted to be a veterinarian and you’d often find me playing healer to my stuffed animals or mixing make-believe potions out of an assortment of flowers and leaves. It’s only natural that I fell into a career of natural medicine. I look forward to meeting you and guiding you on your health journey!

My Approach

Women's health and hormone balance is one of my many passions! Too often today, women are being diagnosed with various hormonal conditions. Having experienced my own health and hormonal challenges, I have a unique understanding of hormones and the way in which Chinese medicine treatment can help support women to feel empowered in their health, restore their quality of life and improve their well-being!

Aside from women's health, I also have a special interest in supporting fertility in both men and women; whether it is working with a couple to naturally conceive or as an adjunct treatment to work alongside ART like IUI or IVF. It brings me such joy to be apart of your conception story and to bring your beautiful babies earth side.

Beyond women's health and fertility, paediatric medicine has been something that has naturally become a part of my regular practice (yep, you heard that right), children and even babies can receive acupuncture too! Assisting with a range of symptoms, Chinese medical techniques can be a gentle yet effective way to restore balance to your little loves.

Working predominantly with women's health and fertility cases, I have found mental health, stress and anxiety to be a key factor in treating these clients as well as many others. With the impact of our increasingly stressful lives, taking care of our mental health is so important! I have an empathetic and compassionate approach to various mental health issues and am passionate about putting the heart back into holistic healthcare!

The first time you see me feels like catching up with an old friend, grab yourself a hot cuppa and settle into a comfortable chair, we’ll be here for a while… the initial appointment is a deep dive into your whole health history and it’s my job to simply hold space, lend an ear and hear your story! Once you’ve shared with me and have gotten comfortable on the treatment table, I will take it from there!
