Support your IVF or IUI cycle with Acupuncture
Preparing your body for pregnancy is one of the most important steps you can take on your journey to motherhood.
At Rachel Fitzpatrick Acupuncture, I offer acupuncture and Chinese medicine wisdom designed to nurture your reproductive health, balance hormones, and support natural conception or assisted reproductive technology such as IVF & IUI.
How Acupuncture Can Support Assisted reproductive technologies like IVF and IUI

Acupuncture can support you through your IVF cycle by helping to regulate hormones, manage symptoms of medications and reduce the stress and anxiety associated with your unique fertility journey.
IVF & IUI Acupuncture may help to:
Support your unique cycle and optimise outcomes
Reduce stress and support emotional well-being
Enhance blood flow to reproductive organs and uterine lining
Improve overall balance and vitality
What to Expect at Your IVF Acupuncture Appointment
Your initial session will involve a thorough consultation to understand your health history, cycle patterns, and fertility goals.
Using gentle, single-use needles, we target specific acupuncture points to support your body’s natural fertility process.
If you’ve never had acupuncture before and have questions, please check out my FAQ’s at the bottom of the page.
How Many IVF Acupuncture Sessions Should I Have?
Studies suggest that acupuncture once or twice weekly is most effective, though here at Rachel Fitzpatrick Acupuncture, I also aim to be flexible with what works for you and your schedule.
We will cover all of this in your initial session and come up with the best plan moving forward for your individual goals.
I like to see you for at least 3 months prior to starting your fertility journey so that I can get to know you, your body, your cycle and observe any changes with your symptoms and overall health.
When completing a round of IVF - I would like to see you once or twice weekly leading up to egg retrieval or embryo transfer. I will generally recommend a pre-embryo and post-embryo transfer treatment within 24 hours either side of your transfer and then another treatment 3-5 days post embryo transfer.
